Laughter, Fun and Audience Interaction at the 4th Annual MyBindi Comedy Night

TORONTO, May 1, 2005 – After an unprecedented sell-out night one year ago, the 4th Annual MyBindi Comedy Night presented by RBC and Lipton, in association with OMNI Television, returns on May 28 with another jam-packed evening of side-splitting comedy and explosive new acts! Unlike anything else on stage, the MyBindi Comedy Night features every style of humour from slapstick, musical and improv acts to intelligent and daring social commentary. Viewer discretion is definitely advised…..

And the audience is not excused! Every year, dozens of audience members participate in the evening’s festivities with the help of our warm-up acts and our host, Mo-D of Ishtyle TV. Guests have been encouraged to sing, dance, even under go hypnosis – anything is possible at this unique and popular event.

Hugely successful year after year, the evening showcases a selection of diverse and talented up-and-coming entertainers from across Canada. Some have never-been-seen, and others return to the MyBindi stage by popular audience demand.

After ending last year’s show on a high note, Montreal’s Sugar Sammy promises brand new material and even more laughs at the 4th Annual. Hailed as the Indian Eddie Murphy, this comedic bad boy has blown away live and television audiences with his over-the-edge comedy. Also on stage are the hilarious Jean Paul, as seen on Comedy Network's Pop Culture, actor and comedian Ali Rizvi, and talented new arrivals Jay Martin and Kiron Datta, who have performed all over comedy clubs in Toronto. With more surprises to be announced.

Says Charles Smid, co-founder of Mybindi: “Just like our audience, our line-up of acts is truly diverse. But regardless of their background, they always deliver…a lot of fun and a lot of laughs.”
